The ABCs of DISC

The test showed that I have a conscientiousness personality (C high S). This type of person has an emphasis on working conscientiously with existing circumstances to ensure quality and accuracy. I think this test correctly resulted concerning my personality, but I don’t know how the test accurately gauges my management orientation. Within the business field, I think it is better to have an influence type of personality because this type of person can shape the environment by influencing or persuading others. I don’t think I can become another type because it’s hard to change one’s personality. If we can change our personality easily, then we can hide our personality easily as well. I think it’s helpful to determine a person’s management type to better understand where they are coming from because personality might be affected by cultural or social issues. A test like this would be helpful with personal interaction. If you already know what kind of person they are, it’s easier for you to communicate with them.

I think the test describes you pretty accurate, and you're right, to change a person's personality is mad difficult, but I've seen some of my friends did succeed. well, not completely changed...

I agree with what you just had said, it is nice to know your consumer personality type when you are dealing with them in the business world. Generally, I think this test is pretty accurate. For what I have known that conscientiousness personality type do things carefully and the job they usually hold are such accountant, banking, teacher and ect.

Very good.. you also think the personality test evaluated your personality type correctly. I have pretty much similar feelings about the accuracy of the test. It was also nice to see that our class also have some conscientious type of personnel, even though very few. Don't be discouraged by being a rare kind, being rare mean more unique. Accordign to the test, I fall in the Dominance type, which is okay as being a management major. Even though it is one of the effective ones as described by the professor. But I also feel that I could be the influential type, maybe because professor said that it was the best type. The thing you said about unable to change one's personality seems a little off from my view of changing personality. I believe if you really desire and want to you can definitely bring a change in how people think about you. It is all about how bad do you want to change. Finally, I think it is kind of nice to know, in which category people fall in the table. That allows one to utilize and understand them better, as opposed when someone doesn't know about other's personality. Hope you are happy with what you are, because in the end what matters is what you think about yourself.

Having a C personality is good for school where every point on an exam counts. Also it helps if you're responsible example with reports which carry a heavy emphasis on detail. I believe depending on the situation people become different types of personalities. If you're coaching a basketball team being influential really motivates them, but being conscientious can really secure the win.
